This delicate Gesha coffee makes an excellent light roasted brew, where elegant sweetness is accented by aromatic notes of fragrant teas, light floral suggestions, and acidity has a soft citric dimension. The fragrance of the dry grounds showed notes of semi-refined sugars, demerara, with faint fragrance of herbal tea, and dried flowers. The wet aroma was caramel-y sweet and more substantial, like Dulce de Leche caramels, with a malty note, and a light hint of jasmine. Floral Gesha characteristics come through most at City roast level, and make a mild impact on clean, simple-syrup sweetness, enlivened with a brisk note of lemon that informs the acidity. The coffee cools to lightly perfumed hints of jasmine, followed by fresh herbaceous notes of coriander, and green tea.
